Kurtuluş Özgen has produced non-fiction films and has been a jury member in various film festivals and photography competitions. Özgen, whose films were shown in more than 70 festivals, including Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Guangzhou, London, Lisbon, Weimar, Athens and Thessaloniki, has 18 awards. Özgen also produces art works in the form of photography and video installations. The works he produced in this field have taken part in various national and international exhibitions. He currently works as an Associate Professor at AHBVÜ Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography and Video. He continues his academic studies on documentary cinema, cinema of thought, cinematography, video art and new media.
