Semra KELEŞ completed her undergraduate education at Gazi University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in 2011. Then, he received his master's degree at Marmara University Social Sciences Institute, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in 2015 with his thesis titled "Violence in Turkish Cinema after 2000". He completed his doctoral education in 2023 with his thesis titled "Marriage in Turkish Cinema within the Framework of Structure-Agency Concepts (1960-1980)".

Keleş, who has been teaching cinema at Izmir University of Economics since 2016, has also taken part in short films, documentaries, TV series and video art projects, as well as academic studies.
