Sinan Ölmez

He was born in Ankara in 1976. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara, he graduated from Gazi University, Gazi Education Faculty, Department of Painting and Crafts Education, Department of Graphic Arts in 1993. During his university education, which continued until 2000, he worked part-time in animation studios and advertising agencies.

The story of Ibi, which belongs to the Baldiyar Tales story universe, which he started writing in 2010, was accepted by TRT Çocuk to shoot a pilot episode in 2011. Until 2021, he worked as a synopsis, scriptwriter and director for 104 episodes of the İbi cartoon series.

In 2022, he wrote the script of the movie titled İbi: The Mystery of the Eastern Express. The film, directed by Sinan Ölmez, was released in a total of 310 theaters in our country on October 20, 2023, and became the most watched film in all categories in the first week.

Sinan ÖLMEZ currently writes and directs the scripts of İbi's new series, İbi: Galactic Adventure, at Studio Galactic animation studio, owned by Koza Yayın AŞ, and continues to write stories to expand the Baldiyar Tales story universe.
