Researcher. Gör. Merve Can Maraşlı
Merve Can Maraşlı was born in Elazığ in 1991. After graduating from Elazığ Anatolian Communication Vocational High School, she entered Gazi University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in 2009 and graduated with honours in 2013. In the same year, he started his master's programme at Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema and received his master's degree in 2017 with his thesis titled "Supervision in Radio and Television Broadcasts in the Context of Harmonisation with the European Union, Problems Arising from Practice and Self-Control". Afterwards, he enrolled in the doctoral programme of the same department and today he is working at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Graduate Education Institute with his thesis titled "Television Broadcasting in the Digital Age: Regulation and Supervision of On-Demand Broadcasting Services in Turkey". He worked as a research assistant at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Communication between 2015-2017 and was assigned to Gazi University in 2017. Since 2018, he has been working as a research assistant at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. Can Maraşlı, who has been involved in both sectoral studies and short and long-term academic activities carried out with public institutions since his high school years, focuses his academic interest on communication law, mass communication, European Union, television and digital broadcasting. He is the deputy editor of SineFilozofi magazine and the layout editor of İletişim Kuram ve Araştırma and Yeni Medya journals. She is the mother of Ayla.
