Sevinç Yavuz

He was born in Gemlik in 1968. Graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Communication in 1993. He started his career at Nokta Magazine in 1992.

Afterwards, he worked in the newspapers Günaydın, Yeni Yüzyıl (founding team), Gazete Pazar and Hürriyet. He specialized in news and series-research on the mafia, intelligence, drugs and organized crime.

In 2001, the book "KOLICI: The Story of a Serial Killer" was published by Metis Publications. He started working at NTV Television in 2002.

Between 2002 and 2004, he was the producer-director and copywriter of the İtip program. He served as Deputy News Coordinator.

He received the "Journalists' Association Research Award" in 2002 with the texts of the HIP program. He started producing by establishing his own production company in 2004. Between 2004 and 2008, he made many documentaries, programs and drama-documentaries on TRT.

In 2006, she appeared on ATV as "Are You With Hülya Koçyiğit?" He made the generation program. Between 2008 and 2009, he once again launched the "HIP KRIMINAL" program for TRT 1 channel. To date, he has been the producer, scriptwriter and general director of dozens of programs on TRT 1, TRT Belgesel and TRT OKUL channels.

In April 2016, his book titled "TURKISH SERIAL KILLERS / From the 1960s to Today" was published by Profil Kitap. The book went through 4 editions.

In 2018, his first crime-thriller novel "MY DEAR MURDERER" was published, and in 2020, his thriller novel "ÇUMRA/1965", adapted from the story of a real serial killer, was published.

He wrote the script of the series KUZGUN DİPSİZ KARKLIK, which was broadcast on the TRT TABİİ digital platform in 2023 and continues to be shown.

Yavuz, whose TV series and film rights of the books Turkish Serial Killers and Çumra/1965 were purchased for digital media, is currently the project and script consultant of both projects. In addition, social media activities of individuals and institutions are carried out within the production company.
